隨著時代的進步，現在的多數人都享受著科技帶來的便利，老舊的眷村和村落也會有所改變。而位於陽明山上的《八煙聚落》彷彿時間不曾在此留下痕跡，這裏的一切彷彿古時生活一般，利用山泉水洗衣煮飯，所有的生計都仰賴著水源。對照山下現今社會，堪稱與世無爭的世外桃源了。也因這而富有美景「水中央」而聲名大噪，但過多的觀光客卻讓在此頤養天年的居民決定讓仙境美景消失…而相隔 6 個月聽說水中央又重新放水了，這回運氣好還遇上好天氣，終於捕捉美景！（開心）
《八煙聚落》因為被不少電視報導，所以縱使仙境美景已經不復存在，仍在平日下午吸引不少觀光客前來。

八煙聚落

在前往金山的路上，如果不特別注意也會錯過的小小指標著「八煙聚落」在此。
往裡面走，首先見著了居民洗衣之處，以前都只有在電視或書上看過，這復古懷舊之物也是第一次親眼見著。
沿著道路往前走，偶爾可見地上也有用粉筆畫著指引方向。《八煙聚落》也遇上青壯年人力外移之問題，村落內僅剩下老人們在此居住。
農作物純粹中的純粹，看到《八煙聚落》被此保留而感動。
也因冬天休耕，現在水田內也養了好幾隻小蝌蚪，不難想像春夏之際「呱一呱一」肯定讓這兒熱鬧不少。
繼續往前走，便會看到偌大的水池，層層疊著遠方的山嵐，如此乍看頗有山水畫之優美。
水池旁種植著一整排的櫻花，看起來像是「山櫻花」如果 2-3 月前來訪一定美不勝收。
現在許多山林間的山泉水也不像《八煙聚落》這般乾淨透徹，這裏種植的農作物必定好吃，
而如前面所提《八煙聚落》知名的「水中央」景點，因為太多觀光客湧入影響居民，所以居民們決定讓「水中央」休息一陣子。聽著不免覺得難過，並不是自己無緣見上美景，而是可以想像被保留如此完整的聚落，頓時因為太多人湧入，當然會眾多不適應。加上從田間看到不少告示，就知道農田被一些急於求美景的人們給踏入而破壞農民們的農作物了。
想到這些覺得非常的感慨。
而且在返回的路上，看到居民們在自家門口賣著蔬菜。一群四、五十歲的阿姨圍著賣菜的阿伯，阿伯看起來年近七、八十歲，阿姨們買了些菜同時還不忘要求「幫我把地瓜去皮」、「啊怎麼不算我便宜一點」，然後又看著老人家移動緩慢的腳步走道水池邊洗著地瓜，心裡真的很心疼。此時更能明白在這裡的居民為什麼決定要讓「水中央」休息片刻了。
看著乾枯的「水中央」雖然不如水滿之時那般美，但還是讓人不經發出驚嘆。
往更裡面走去，可以近距離看到陽明山地熱之處。
如同小油坑的盛景般，頓時硫磺味四溢。
雖然近期之內「水中央」休息了，但是《八煙聚落》保留完整的聚落樣貌依舊很值得前往探訪，但還請大家尊重當地居民，不要大聲喧嘩和踐踏農作物。
我們來的時候看到一位大叔買了一整大袋的蘿蔔回家，所以我們也順道買了些蔬菜，發現真的非常好吃！果然山靈寶地種出來的東西就是不一樣，還真的是買對了呢！（笑）
2015.9.26 更新========
這回趁著好天氣再度出發前往八煙聚落，而八煙聚落也依舊呈現靜謐的舒適。
這回藍天白雲為青山增添豐富的色彩。
水梯田中映著連綿山景，一旁還有山泉水在旁滾動著，清晰可見的水，原始美好的環境。
聽說水中央 2015.7 又重新放水了，所以美如仙境的美景又再次出現，不過路線也被重新規劃了。
原本通行的右邊通道被封住，想要去看水中央只能往左邊去，單方向的進出。
夢寐以求的水中央！
美得不像話的景色，雖然相隔 8 個月再訪才得以看見，不過美景值得等待，你們說是不是呢？
對應著藍天白雲落在水中與大石一同呈現的美景，以及無邊際的延伸實在是美到不行！
去程的路上就有看到老奶奶在賣當地蔬菜、茶葉蛋、米粉湯和地瓜湯等小吃。
我們買了罐仙草茶 $50、茶葉蛋 $15 和地瓜粿 $25，價格中規中矩有的品項偏貴，但是山上人家很多東西的成本相信是比較貴的（因為必須從山下運上來），所以還算可以接受。
而其中地瓜粿最讓流氓夫妻驚艷，真材實料的地瓜粿內包著蘿蔔乾，調味剛剛好微微的鹹味非常開胃。
後來因為太好吃了，還多買了 6 個地瓜粿外帶回家（笑）。
後來在阿嬤的推薦下我們也來碗芋頭米粉湯 $50，芋頭有著濃郁的香氣，而且芋頭的質地是沙沙的，融化在湯頭中實在非常美味！
順道一提來了八煙聚落 2 次都會看到抽煙的人，抽菸也沒關係，但隨地亂丟煙蒂實在讓人很傻眼，明明一旁就有垃圾桶，這裏全都是老人家是要叫誰掃？
其實來訪的也不止台灣人，還有香港和外國人，但坦白說看到素質最差的就是台灣人，實在讓人覺得搖頭不已……
八煙聚落很美，但這樣的景會美就是因為擁有原始而美。
第二次來訪也覺得氛圍有點變化，感覺帶了點商業，似乎所有美好的景點都是這樣的。
原本張開雙手迎接，卻換來環境凌亂，所以索性變得商業多收點錢還比較乾脆，如此這樣還真是一個循環呢。
說了那麼多只是很感慨，也可以理解很多「地方當地人」對於觀光客的憤怒如此…希望大家都可以成為不讓人討厭的觀光客。
