之前來到南投都是往「清境武嶺」方向去，第一次來到南投山上最深處「杉林溪森林園區」，打算一早就前往如詩如畫的《忘憂森林》和 11 月的楓葉和銀杏季節，如此考量下我們決定入住杉林溪森林園區內的《杉林溪主題會館》，入住可免門票費，而相較於杉林溪大飯店價位又較為便宜，所以想要就近又不想要太貴可以選擇這間呦。
入住《杉林溪主題會館》可以省掉門票和停車費，門票成人就 $250 ，加上停車費 ＄50 ，兩個人總共省掉 $550 。

而《杉林溪主題會館》要下午 3:00 才能入住，我們是平日來的，一晚 $2590 ，雖然和我們平常住的比較起來算貴，但是已經是這附近便宜的了，杉林溪附近的飯店和民宿幾乎都 $3000 起跳…..
而《杉林溪森林園區》下午就開始起霧了….
我們《杉林溪主題會館》check in 後因為還沒到入住時間，我們就先寄放行李。寄放櫃子鑰匙押金 $200 ，退回後可拿回。
大廳旁還有電腦區和健身房。
我們住在 3 號會館，所以要走一段才會到，不過 3 棟會館都是串連的，可以搭電梯到 2 樓後直接穿越，不需爬樓梯。
房間內部照片，其實就是簡單乾淨這樣，房內也有提供沐浴、洗髮、毛巾和牙刷等用品，房內沒有礦泉水，但房外有飲水機可以自行取用。
浴室的磁磚頗有懷舊風味，呵呵。
接著，打算前往餐廳。《杉林溪主題會館》對面有販賣部，不過營業時間 8:00-16:15 所以基本上很容易錯過他啊啊啊啊，過慣都市生活，來到杉林溪忽然發現所有的時間都往前移動了，九點就可以洗洗睡了這樣…….
滿意堂餐廳晚餐開放時間 17:30-19:30 ，早餐則是 07:30-9:00 。
而晚餐只有提供和菜套餐，固定價＄250 。
不過這和菜的份量還蠻多的，感覺可以 2-3 人以上用呢。也還蠻好吃的，尤其高麗菜！不虧是高山的呢！好吃！
